FAQ Thanksgiving Questions
Pre-orders for Thanksgiving are OPEN
During this time of exceptional demand, here are answers to our most frequently asked questions:
1. How can I get a Thanksgiving Pie?
Pre-orders are ONLINE ONLY. However, Pre-orders are now CLOSED until after Thanksgiving. Below is an explanation of how this worked when they were OPEN.
All orders are taken online. Due to the volume, we are unable to take orders via email or over the phone. If you have difficulty or questions, please call the shop during regular business hours for assistance.
We make a certain number of pies in each flavor each day leading up to Thanksgiving. You must order pies available on that day. If the pie you want isn't listed on the day you want, you must either order for another pickup date when the pie is available OR order a different pie. Each pickup date requires a separate order.
PLEASE NOTE - Your pie date and your pickup date MUST match. If you order a pie from the Tuesday menu and a pickup date on Wednesday, we will try to reach you to clarify. However, if there is a date conflict and we cannot reach you, your order will be cancelled and refunded.
2. Is Pre-order the Only Way to Get Thanksgiving Pie?
NOPE. Although we STRONGLY recommend that you pre-order, there are other ways to get pie. We make pie for sale on open shop days including the week before the week of Thanksgiving. The week of Thanksgiving, there is only one opportunity to purchase pie in the shop (see below for details).
Come by during business hours to purchase a Thanksgiving pie from our in-store inventory anytime in November. These pies can be frozen and reheated. Come early for best selection.
Wait, I can freeze my pie?... YES. The pies freeze very well. the one significant exception is Traditional Pumpkin. In our opinion. Traditional Pumpkin should be eaten as soon as possible. If you are purchasing pumpkin pie freezing in advance, consider Pumpkin Chiffon or Pumpkin Praline, both of which store beautifully.
Tuesday, November 26 - Pre-order Pickups ONLY. No walk-in sales.
Wednesday, November 27 - We hold one final sale at 3 PM for people who didn't get pie earlier. There is usually a significant line prior to this sale, so we recommend you come early. We sell until 5 PM or sold out.

6. How do I preserve my pie for Thanksgiving?
If you pickup your pie on the Tuesday (November 26) or Wednesday (November 27), we recommend refrigerating your pie until Thanksgiving and reheating day of if you have a regular pie. Please note that Key Lime and Pumpkin Chiffon should NEVER GO IN THE OVEN [You laugh, but it's happened].
If you picked up your pie before November 26 that we recommended freezing and reheating.

PLEASE pick up at your chosen time. If you are running late, but still arriving before close that's fine, but please let us know.
